A Crawford man was arrested this week for possession of untaxed liquor.
Mississippi Alcohol Beverage Control charged Sylvester Hart, 64, of 121 Bethesda Road, Tuesday with one count of the misdemeanor, Oktibbeha County Chief Deputy Chadd Garnett confirmed yesterday.
Hart was processed at the Oktibbeha County Jail, and his bond was set at $500.
A call to a local ABC agent went unreturned Thursday, but Meridian’s WTOK reported officials found 91 gallons of moonshine in Oktibbeha County. An investigation, the station reported, continued to Cuba, Alabama, where a 24-barrell still was discovered near the town.
One person was arrested across state lines.
