The Mississippi University for Women unveiled its new crisis management application Wednesday.
The app — Schooldude CrisisManager — will provide electronic updates on emergency situations to MUW students and faculty, according to MUW project director for campus planning Jim Jones.
“The goal is to continue to provide information to enhance campus safety,” Jones. “This is an improvement that Dr. Jim Borsig (MUW president) championed to enhance our campus safety environment.”
The app got its first test this morning, when MUW ran its emergency mock drill.
Students and staff can download the Schooldude CrisisManager app via smart-phones and tablets.
