Volunteer Mississippi and Mississippi University for Women will hold a public information session from 9 to 11:30 a.m Monday in Room 120 of the Education Building on MUW’s campus.
During the meeting, Volunteer Mississippi staff will discuss the availability of federal funds and opportunities to access multiple national service resources.
Educational institutions, volunteer centers, state and local government agencies and non-profit and faith-based organizations are all eligible to apply for national service funding.
“Organizations of all sizes can benefit from the information that will be shared during this public information session,” said AmeriCorps Mississippi program officer Judy Stein. “National service programs have been making a huge impact in communities across Mississippi for more than two decades, and we want to ensure organizations have the information necessary to take advantage of these funds.”
Volunteer Mississippi will host other information sessions in Cleveland, Jackson, Tupelo, Hattiesburg and Gulfport.
