Locals hoping to get a jump-start on their holiday shopping will have the opportunity this weekend at the annual Downtown Christmas Open House.
Barbara Bigelow, executive director of Main Street Columbus, said 16 stores will be participating in this year’s event. Kicking off Thursday, the open house will offer food, holiday festivities and fun, Bigelow said.
The annual event is a great time for shoppers to see what the downtown community has to offer, Bigelow said.
“The holiday open house offers the perfect opportunity to see the festive holiday store fronts and to explore decorated shops filled with unique gifts and great service,” she said. “It is a great way to start Christmas shopping by finding the that special gift and supporting our local merchants at the same time.”
The open house begins Thursday night at 5 p.m. and ends at 5 p.m. Sunday.
