A couple of weeks after the official arrival of Spring, people all across the Golden Triangle celebrated the season by taking in some of the seven major events held Saturday. Beginning at 7 a.m. with the opening of the Hitching Lot Farmers’ Market in Columbus to 6 p.m. with the annual running of the Sally Kate Winters 5K race in West Point, there seemed to be an event to appeal to every interest. Dispatch photojournalists Mary Alice Weeks and Luisa Porter spent the day touring the Golden Triangle, capturing scenes of a truly wonderful Spring day.
