Columbus AFB will host over 200 scouts from 10 dens for their Spring Camporee beginning Friday and running through Sunday. The group will be touring Columbus AFB and camping out at SAC Lake on the base.
The Pushmataha Area Council is part of the Boy Scouts of America. It renders service to Scout units in 10 counties of North Mississippi, providing skills training and character development primarily to boys between the ages of six and 21.
Included in the Saturday activities will be a fire fighting demonstration by CAFB fire department and a “Fireman’s Challenge,” where scouts will don firefighting gear and perform tasks.
