SOUTHAVEN — Southaven police officers shot and critically wounded an armed suspect early Sunday morning.
Lt. Mark Little of the Southaven Police Department tells The Commercial Appeal police got a call about a domestic violence incident at the Southpark Apartments at 5 a.m. When the officers arrived, the man pulled out a handgun and pointed it at a woman.
Little says that’s when the officers opened fire, striking the man.
The unidentified man was taken to the Regional Medical Center in Memphis in critical condition.
