Jackie Jennings, 57, was sentenced to 10 years with the Mississippi Department of Corrections after he pleaded guilty to grand larceny in Lowndes County Circuit Court Wednesday. Jennings, who was originally charged with armed robbery, pleaded guilty to the grand larceny for an attempted bank robbery earlier this year. Jennings entered the Cadence Bank location on Main Street and handed the teller a note demanding money and said he had a bomb. He was apprehended moments later in the bank parking lot. Jennings pleaded guilty as a habitual offender and will serve every day of his 10-year sentence.
