TUPELO — Monroe County sheriff’s deputies now have four new portable breath-test machines, thanks to a donation by the Law Enforcement Wives of Monroe County.
WTVA reports the group raised money for the purchases during the Rod Brasfield Festival earlier in August.
The devices are used to measure possible intoxication.
Sheriff Cecil Cantrell says they will be a great help to the department in its policing of drunk drivers.
