Noel Everett Sumrall, 66, was arrested Monday by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Sumrall had been out on bond, which had been set at $7,500, before being indicted in federal court on Aug. 30 on child pornography charges.
Agents entered Sumrall’s residence at 811 5th Ave. N. at 7:25 a.m. Monday morning and made the arrest without incident.
Sumrall was arrested by the Columbus Police Department in December after investigators with the CPD received an anonymous tip.
When officers searched Sumrall’s residence, they discovered seven padlocked trunks containing thousands of images of child pornography. The majority of the images were of young boys. However, the extensive collection depicted both boys and girls ranging in age from 4 to 17.
Possession of child pornography is a federal offense and punishable by up to five years in federal prison per count.
Sumrall will be arraigned in federal court in Aberdeen.
