Mayor Robert E. Smith, Sr., was recently elected to the board of The Mississippi Main Street Association.
The officers and new members were nominated and elected unanimously at the MMSA Annual Awards meeting on June 21 and were formally welcomed at the board meeting on Aug. 9.
The mission of the Mississippi Main Street Association is to provide visionary leadership, guidance and counsel to Mississippi Main Street Communities through organization, promotion, design and economic development to make our cities and towns better places to live, work and play.
