A Georgia man has been arrested by deputies with the Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Department and charged with failure to register as a sex offender.
James F. Hogan, Jr., 25, of 931 East Fincher Road, Covington, GA was arrested March 28. He was also charged with one count of conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance.
The arrest came following a weeklong investigation by the OCSD. Citizen complaints about Hogan living in the Highlands Plantation area prompted the investigation. Investigators seized a small amount of marijuana at the time of Hogan’s arrest.
Hogan is being held at the Oktibbeha County Jail pending setting of bond. Hogan is also being held for extradition to Georgia on warrants for Failure to register as a Sex Offender and a Probation Violation in that state.
