The high-profile cases of the January term of Oktibbeha County Circuit Court were continued Tuesday.
The defense team of George Johnson, 21, or Weir, filed a motion to determine whether he is mentally fit to stand trial. Johnson will be evaluated at the state hospital in Whitfield. Johnson’s case was continued to the April term.
Johnson is accused of entering Shipley Do-Nuts on May 31 and cutting the throat of a female employee and stabbing a male employee multiple times.
He’s charged with two counts of aggravated assault and attempted robbery. He pleaded not guilty in October. Johnson is represented by Starkville attorney Pearson Liddell.
Dennis Thompson, 20, was scheduled to have a hearing last week, but the case was continued. Thompson is charged with the murder of Curtis “C.K.” Randle, 25. Thompson is accused of murdering Randle with a .40-caliber pistol near Club 124 on D.L. Conner Drive in May 2010.
He’s also charged with aggravated assault after injuring three others in the melee.

n Jardez Johnson, of 309 Reed Road Apt. 1113, pleaded guilty to armed robbery. Johnson was sentenced to seven years in the Mississippi Department of Corrections and five years of probation.
n Barron Hubbard, of 2243 South Montgomery St., pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit armed robbery. Hubbard was sentenced to two years in the MDOC and three years of probation. As part of the plea, Hubbard’s armed robbery charge from 2010 was retired.
n David Free, of P.O. Box 414 in Maben, pleaded guilty to third offense driving while intoxicated. Free was sentenced to five years in the MDOC and four years of probation. Kitchens suspended the entire prison sentence and levied a $2,000 fine.
n Henry Spencer, of 918 Andrews Road, pleaded guilty to the sale of marijuana greater than 30 grams. Spencer was sentenced to 20 years in the MDOC and five years of probation. Kitchens suspended 12 years of the prison sentence and levied a $1,000 fine.
n Kenneth Pittman, of 21 B Brookville Gardens, pleaded guilty to possession of more than one gram of cocaine. Pittman was sentenced to four years in the MDOC and four years of probation.
n Andre Fitzgerald Hall, of 126 Yellow Jacket Drive, pleaded guilty to three counts of grand larceny. As a result of the plea, Hall’s probation was revoked and he was sentenced to five years in the MDOC.
n Gabriel Debrice Davis, of 305 Everglade Ave. Apt. 13B, pleaded guilty to cyberstalking. Davis was sentenced to two years in the MDOC and two years of probation. Kitchens suspended the prison sentence and levied a $250 fine.
n Christopher Sellers pleaded guilty to DUI third offense. Sellers was sentenced to two years in the MDOC and three years of probation. Kitchens imposed a $1,200 fine.
n Alexious Poe pleaded guilty to burglary of a dwelling. Poe was sentenced to three years in the MDOC and five years of probation. Poe also must pay $5,450 in restitution.
n Roderick Franklin, of 203 Middle Court, pleaded guilty to failure to register as a sex offender. Franklin was sentenced to five years in the MDOC. The sentence will run concurrently with a 12-year prison sentence Franklin received for a guilty plea to armed robbery during the January circuit court term.

n Willie Graham, of 256 Hall Road in Maben, pleaded guilty to robbery. Graham was sentenced to 10 years in the MDOC and five years of probation. Coleman also must pay a $500 fine.
n Jeffrey Lance Hill, of 601 Third St. in Barling, Ark., went to trial on a charge of possession of a weapon on school grounds. Hill was found in contempt of court and sentenced to 30 days in the Oktibbeha County Jail. Hill’s case was declared a mistrial, and his original bond of $5,000 was reinstated. Hill’s next trial date is May 1.
n Domonique Hoskins, of 362 Nicholas Lane, Apt. 8, pleaded guilty to the sale of hydrocodone. Hoskins was sentenced to 15 years in the MDOC and five years of probation. Hoskins must pay a $1,000 fine.
n Lawrence Rowe, of 718 Forest Point Drive in Brandon, pleaded guilty to the sale of marijuana greater than 30 grams. Rowe was sentenced to six years in the MDOC, five years of probation and must pay a $1,200 fine.
n Stanley Kilborn’s sexual battery charge was dropped by the prosecution.
n Christopher Giurintano, of 134 Livingston Drive in Madison, had his sale of lisdexamfetamine dropped by the prosecution.
n Marcel Nash pleaded guilty to burglary of an automobile. Nash was sentenced to five years of non-adjudicated probation. Nash also must pay a $2,000 fine.
n Monique Hemphill, of 21-B Brookville Gardens, pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine. Hemphill was sentenced to five years of non-adjudicated probation. Hemphill also must pay a $500 fine.
n Samuel Tenney, address unknown, pleaded guilty to the sale of marijuana. Tenney was sentenced to three years of non-adjudicated probation. Tenney also must pay a $500 fine and $670.71 in restitution.
