STARKVILLE — A Maben man was arrested Dec. 25 and charged with two counts of aggravated assault after an altercation at an Oktibbeha County nightclub.
According to an Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Office release, Jerry Wayne Lee, 33, of 2168 Harpole Road, attacked two men with a knife at a small building on Club Road. Both men were cut on their upper torso, while one was stabbed. Both victims were treated at OCH Regional Medical Center and released.
Lee is being held at Oktibbeha County jail on a $50,000 bond.
OCSO Commander Brett Watson said the club, which he doesn’t believe has an official name, is usually quiet.
OCSO is continuing to investigate the case. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the OCSO investigations unit at 662-323-2421 or 662-324-8484.
B-Quik burglars
OCSO deputies Monday responded to a break-in at the B-Quick convenience store on Highway 12 West in Sturgis, where burglars broke the glass to the front door and left without taking anything.
Watson believes the security alarm may have scared the suspect away.
The investigation revealed some physical evidence. The store had security cameras, but Watson isn’t yet sure there’s anything of value on the footage.
