STARKVILLE — Three men and two juveniles were arrested and charged with four counts of armed robbery following a Dec. 4 home invasion.
The Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call of an armed robbery in progress from Anglin Road. The caller advised dispatchers that the suspects were inside the residence with handguns.
The suspects left the home before OCSO deputies arrived.
An OCSO and Starkville Police Department investigation over the next 10 days led to the arrests of Artavaus R. Davis, 19, of 135 Sand Road, Apt. 58; Rickey R. Doss, 19, of 135 Sand Road, Apt. 80; and Devan Lowery, 20, of 1446 Blackjack Road.
OCSO Commander Brett Watson said all of the arrests took place at different times as individual suspects were identified.
Two juveniles were arrested and will be charged as adults due to the severity of the crime, according to an OCSO release. Names of the juveniles were not released.
Bond has been set for the suspects, ranging from $20,000 to $80,000.
The three adult suspects have not posted bond, as of Friday evening.
More arrests are pending. Watson said the OCSO has at least one suspect identified but isn’t sure how many others could have been involved.
Watson said their is no indication any of the suspects have been involved in any other home burglaries or robberies.
