The Elbow Room murder trial has come to a close.
Daniel Paul Copple was found guilty Thursday afternoon on two counts of murder and one count of aggravated assault.
A 12-person Lowndes County jury comprised of eight men and four women deliberated for around 90 minutes before returning guilty verdicts for the killings of Mark Caudill, 33, and James Bennett Mann II, 42, and pointing a gun at the head of Michael Ward, on the morning of Feb. 16 inside the Elbow Room Lounge.
Copple, 44, of 31725 Kingly St. in Lucerne Valley, Calif., was sentenced to life in prison on each murder count and 15 years for the aggravated assault count. The sentences will run consecutively.
