The city of Columbus has one less option for the the job of chief of police.
Nathaniel Clark of Albany, Ga., has withdrawn his candidacy.
Clark interviewed for the Columbus job in 2007, when the city appointed Joseph St. John to the post.

Clark thanked the mayor and citizens of Columbus for the opportunity.
Remaining finalists are Curtis Brame of North Chicago, Ill.; Robert Spinks of Sequim, Wash.; and Interim Columbus Police Chief Selvain McQueen.
The council will interview the finalists at the Columbus Municipal Complex, Thursday beginning at 4 p.m.
The meeting is open to the public and will be broadcast live on Cable One Channel 3.
