Ward 6 is up next.
Residents in the ward will get their chance to speak to Columbus police officers Thursday about area crime and ways to help the community.
The Columbus Police Department will host a Ward 6 meeting Thursday at 6 p.m. at Columbus Municipal School District’s Brandon Central Services Center, located at 2630 McArthur Drive.
This is the second in a series of meetings involving the CPD and Columbus residents. Interim Police Chief Selvain McQueen plans to visit all six wards and discuss crime prevention tips and strategies.
The first meeting took place in Ward 3 and focused on residents informing the police on suspicious activity in the area and not being afraid to communicate what the concerned residents see.
