Starkville Police responded to an alarm at the store at approximately 3 a.m. Wednesday and located a tool believed to have been used in the attempted break in at the scene. Video surveillance footage was used to obtain a description of the suspects.
Within an hour of dispatching the description of the suspects, Officer Kenny Watkins conducted a traffic stop on a Gold Mercury Marquis with three males matching the description of the suspects. Upon further investigation, the suspects, ages 15 and 16, confessed to the crime and were arrested and charged with attempted burglary of a commercial building.
