A 19-year-old man has been charged with head-butting a Columbus Police Squad car and kicking one of its windows off track.
Taylor Jackson, of 104 Pandora Drive, was arrested shortly after police were called to the scene of a domestic disturbance in the 2400 block of Barley Avenue at 11:53 p.m. Sunday.
Jackson, who had detained his girlfriend, disobeyed police orders and was arrested, said police Public Information Officer Terrie Songer.
As he was arrested, Jackson caused minor damage to a squad car by head-butting the trunk, leaving a dent, and kicking the rear right-hand window off track, Songer said.
Jackson said he was trying to get the victim off of him at the time and was not resisting arrest, Songer said.
The defendant was charged with resisting arrest, destroying city property and domestic violence, second offense.
