STARKVILLE — A Ridgeland man is dead after a Monday afternoon wreck on Highway 25 near Starkville.
Pamela Kelley, a 54-year-old from Louisville, was driving a Toyota 4runner northbound on Highway 25, and a Toyota Camry was westbound at the intersection of Highway 25 and Longview Road, just south of Starkville, said Trooper First Class Brian Mobley, public information officer for the Mississippi Highway Safety Patrol Troop G.
The 4runner collided with the left side of the Camry, Mobley said.
The wreck happened at about 3:30 p.m. Coroner Michael Hunt pronounced the driver of the Camry, 24-year-old Wynn McAllister, dead at the scene, at about 4:10 p.m. The cause of death was multisystem trauma. McAllister was extricated from the vehicle by the Central Oktibbeha Volunteer Fire Department.
McAllister was a student at East Mississippi Community College”s Mayhew campus, Hunt said.
The name of the female driving the 4runner was unknown by press time this morning. However, Hunt said Kelley”s husband transported her to Oktibbeha County Hospital for “a minor injury.”
