A corporate foundation gave Caledonia a $20,000 grant Tuesday for the town”s tennis court project at Ola J. Pickett Park.
Weyerhaeuser Found-ation grant will be put in a town savings account until it is needed in about two years.
The board accepted the grant and amended its 2010-11 budget Tuesday to reflect the additional funds.
The foundation is continuing to raise money for the tennis courts, said local Weyerhaeuser Foundation Committee Chairwoman Leslie Webber. If anyone would like to donate, they can call Webber at 662-889-4655 or the town hall at 662-356-4117.
