The following felony arrests were reported by the Lowndes County Sheriff”s Office.
- Dominique Rashad Harris, 19, of 2000 12th Ave. N. in Columbus, was arrested Tuesday by the Lowndes County Sheriff”s Office on one count of possession of cocaine.
- Jerry Mac Savage, 17, of 3598 Fields Road in Millport, Ala., was arrested Wednesday by the LCSO on two counts of uttering forgery.
- Marty Joe Gilreath, 37, of 3728 County Road 23 in Fayette, Ala., was arrested Tuesday by the LCSO on one count of possession of precursors.
- Rebecca Ruth Cox, 21, of 303 Beverly Drive in Columbus, was arrested Tuesday by the LCSO on one count burglary and larceny of a dwelling.
Incidents
The following crimes were reported by the Columbus Police Department.
- Officers and firefighters were dispatched to 2419 Washington Ave. and 613 22nd St. S. early Tuesday morning in response to a pair of car fires.
The cars belonged to relatives. The car on Washington Avenue, a 1994 Mustang burned completely. The car on 22nd Street, a 1997 Lexus, was not destroyed.
Items found at the fire scenes indicated arson.
- Officers were dispatched to Bartahatchie Outback restaurant at 78 Brickerton St. Tuesday evening in response to burglary of an auto.
An employee left the restaurant with a deposit bag, which he placed in his truck. The employee went back into the restaurant briefly and saw a black male reaching into his truck, which was left unlocked, when he returned to the parking lot. The black male ran when the employee yelled to him. The man escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash and checks.
- Officers responded to the 2400 block of Seventh Ave. N. Monday for burglary and larceny of a vehicle.
Entry was obtained through an unlocked door. A purse was stolen.
