Crime Report

The following incidents were reported by the Columbus Police Department:

  • Howard Parr called authorities at about 5:40 p.m. Thursday to report a burglary of his residence at 811 Seventh Ave. S.

    Parr told officers someone entered his home and stole a computer, a Sony VCR, clothes and shoes. Entry was gained by kicking open the back door.
  • Eddie Jones called authorities at about 5:50 p.m. Thursday to report a burglary of his residence at 901 11th St. S.

    Jones told officers someone entered his house by pulling a screen off a window. However, nothing was reported missing.

  • Albert Buckley called authorities at about 7:30 p.m. Thursday to report a burglary of his automobile at 201 Alabama St.

    Buckley told officers someone entered his 1997 Pontiac and stole a Sony compact disc player and a Duel amplifier.
  • Mike Williams called authorities at about 7:40 p.m. Friday to report a burglary of Cook Elementary School at 2217 Seventh St. N.

    Williams told officers someone entered the school and stole an RCA 27-inch television, a VCR, one combination VCR-DVD player, one Epson photo printer, a black compact disc case and 85 compact discs. Entry was gained through the southern gym door.
  • Lynn Sanders called authorities at about 12:30 p.m. Friday to report property stolen from 323 Third St. S.

    Sanders told officers someone stole a weed eater off her trailer while she was performing yard work at the residence.
