STARKVILLE — A Starkville Police Department detective is on administrative leave this week while he is being investigated by the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics and his own department for possible misconduct.
Detective Eddie Young has been on leave since last week, said SPD Chief David Lindley, and will be until the conclusion of the investigations.
“It”s a two-fold investigation,” Lindley said. “The Starkville Police Department is handling any possible violations of our rules and regulations and orders, and the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics is investigating any possible criminal activity.”
Because the investigation is ongoing, Lindley would not release any additional details.
“I can”t really speak any more to it,” Lindley said.
