Local residents tonight will have a chance to improve their self-defense techniques while battling cancer.
The Columbus Police Department tonight is holding a women”s self-defense course to benefit the American Cancer Society in the upper level of the Trotter Convention Center.
The class is open to women of all ages and will be taught by Michael Grant and James Grant, both of Grant”s Tae-Kwon-Do. Participants are asked to donate at least $5 per person to aid the ACS.
The half-hour classes will begin at 6 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. Anyone with questions is encouraged to call CPD Officer Rhonda Sanders at 662-244-3544 or CPD Lt. Wayne McLemore at 662-364-0664.
