The city of Columbus is the perfect setting to tour the new urban stage play, “Grown Man Issues.”
The play is executive produced by music executive Devyne Stephens. The director is playwright Marc Raby.
“Grown Man Issues” tells a far too familiar story of a man burdened by his colorful past, desperately seeking to create a new life for himself and the love of his life. However, his tumultuous history comes back to haunt him. The play brings up issues surrounding relationships, mental health, and manhood, undergird with great music and hilarious comedy.
Grown Man Issues opens at 6:30 p.m. June 12 at the James M. Trotter Convention Center, 402 2nd Ave., Columbus. Tickets start at $35, and VIP options and group rates are available.
The cast features American actor Brian J. White; American singer-songwriter of the R&B Group Xscape LaTocha Scott; television talk show host Claudia Jordan; and American singer with R&B Group Day 26 Wille Taylor.
“We are thrilled to present Grown Man Issues in the historic city of Columbus,” said Stephens. “We want to address issues surrounding manhood, faith, and mental health. I am excited to use entertainment to present and share these stories with audiences throughout the southeast.”
“Grown Man Issues” will debut in Montgomery, Alabama, before coming to Columbus and then touring several other cities.
