DAR recognizes Perryman
Cadet Jakaya Perryman holds the DAR Bronze JROTC medal she received from the Bernard Romans National Society Daughter of the American Revolution chapter. The Columbus High School senior was presented the award by U.S. Air Force Lt Col (Ret.) Golsby at an awards ceremony at Columbus High School. Perryman is the daughter of Robert Rogers and Tina Rogers. Recipients must demonstrate loyalty and patriotism and earn a record of military and scholastic achievement during their participation in the ROTC program. Students must be in the upper 25 percent of their classes in ROTC and in other academic subjects. They must have shown qualities of dependability and good character, adherence to military discipline, leadership ability, and a fundamental and patriotic understanding of the importance of ROTC training.
