Loaves & Fishes — This year’s annual Loaves & Fishes Community Soup Kitchen fundraiser is a fish fry from 5-7:30 p.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 318 College St., Columbus. Live music, raffles, dine-in or takeout. Plates are $15; two for $25, includes beverage and dessert. Get advance tickets at Military Hardware, Helping Hands, St. Paul’s or First United Methodist Church.

Ride for Camp Rising Sun — Tammy’s Ride for Camp Rising Sun invites motorcyclists to raise kickstands for a good cause at 10 a.m. (registration 8:30 a.m.) at the American Legion, 308 Chubby Lane, Columbus. $20 per rider; $5 per passenger. Live entertainment, kids area and food available.
History and Genealogy Fair — The E.O. Templeton Jr. History and Genealogy Fair is 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m. at Mitchell Memorial Library on the Mississippi State campus. Learn to do genealogy research in special collections, and about using DNA in research. Register at library.msstate.edu/genealogy.

Sounds of Summer — This free summer concert series at the Columbus Riverwalk kicks off with live music by Style from 7-9 p.m. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
