The Billups-Garth Archives at the Columbus-Lowndes Public Library is asking for help from the community in filling existing gaps of yearbooks or annuals from area schools.
“We are looking for donations of Lowndes County yearbooks,” said archivist Mona Vance-Ali. “We want to have each school and every year represented.”
The archives has released a list of yearbooks that it already has, years not listed are still needed.
Anyone able to donate a yearbook not listed is asked to contact Vance-Ali at 662-329-5304 or email [email protected].
“If you know of a Lowndes County school that is not included on the list that had a yearbook or other school memorabilia, please contact us,” Vance said.
At present, the archives has no yearbooks for Children’s House Montessori School, Cook Elementary School, Fairview Elementary School, Franklin Academy, Mitchell Elementary, Sale Elementary, Stokes-Beard Elementary or West Lowndes High School, Middle and Elementary Schools.
