Sounds of Summer is back for its 15th year. The three-part, free summer concert series returns to the Lowndes Soccer Complex on Thursday, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Sounds of Summer is a joint collaboration between the Columbus Lowndes Chamber of Commerce and Main Street Columbus that takes place every other Thursday in the month of June beginning June 1.
The family-friendly event will kick off Thursday with Style.
Artistik Music Entertainment will be the next group to headline on June 15, while The Bouncing Betty takes center stage on June 29.
“We invite everyone to come out and enjoy this family-friendly event which showcases our fabulous local talent. It is truly an event that the community enjoys,“ said Barbara Bigelow, Main Street Columbus executive director. “We are so appreciative of our business sponsors and volunteers who make this event possible year after year.”
Admission is free and there will be food and drink vendors on site so bring your family, friends, lawn chairs and blankets and get ready to enjoy local entertainment at its finest. This event was awarded Top 20 Events for June and July by the Southeast Tourism Society for eight years running.
“This event is a great way for our Chamber members to network as well as an amazing opportunity for our community members to come together and have fun” said Chamber of Commerce Director, Cathryn Borer. “We also look forward to our partnership with Main Street Columbus to host amazing local artists for free!”
