STARKVILLE – Four-time Mississippi author Randy Pierce will sign copies of his new novel, “Missy” at noon Thursday at the Starkville Public Library.
First edition signed copies will be available for $18.95 plus tax.
A lifelong resident of Greene County, Pierce is a graduate of the University of Southern
Mississippi and the University of Mississippi School of Law. He served in the state Legislature, on the state Supreme Court, and has directed the University of Mississippi Judicial College since 2016.
“Like ‘Pain Unforgiven’ and ‘The Peter Bay,’ ‘Missy’ is set in Greene County, Mississippi,”
Pierce said. “I’m proud of all of my books, but I believe ‘Missy’ is my favorite. It deals with subjects familiar to us all: love, family, mistakes, heartache and forgiveness. The characters in this book, like all of us, are flawed. But they are good people doing their best. I can’t wait for readers to meet them.”
“In addition to a cast of characters you won’t forget, ‘Missy,’ as Randy mentioned, is a story of forgiveness.” said Joe Lee, Editor-in-Chief of Dogwood Press, which published the book. “In my mind that’s something we need a lot more of right now, and a big part of what makes ‘Missy’ a truly essential read.”
The Starkville Public Library is located at 326 University Drive. Snacks will be served by the Friends of the Starkville Public Library. To reserve signed copies of any of Pierce’s books, call (601) 323-2766.
