The West Point Farmers’ Market opens at 4 p.m. Thursday. It will be held at 1251 Highway 45 Alt., in the Mossy Oak Outlet parking lot.
The Hitching Lot Farmers’ Market will be held from 7-10 a.m. Saturdays, 4-6 p.m. Mondays and 7-10 a.m. Thursdays. The market is held at 2nd Avenue North at 2nd Street North, Columbus.
Starkville Community Market is open from 8-11 a.m. Saturdays at Fire Station Park.
Items available at the markets include:
■ Produce: kale, collard greens, lettuce, onions, herbs, strawberries, melons, tomatoes, pumpkins, blueberries, black eyed peas, sweet potatoes, peaches, okra, zucchini, jalapeno peppers, yellow squash
■ Plants: cut flowers, vegetable plants, yard plants, house plants, trees
■ Cottage goods: jams, jellies, salsa, sauces, pickles, relish
■ Baked goods: peach pie, apple pie, tea cookies
■ Other: eggs, ceramic pottery, olive oil soap, soy wax candles, wax melts, free books (Starkville), bath and beauty products, knitted items
