God has the ability and power to handle whatever is going on in our lives. However, we have to let go of everything to Him and be still and know that He’s God. “Great is our Lord and mighty in power, his understanding has no limit.” (Psalm 147:5) NIV
When we become still and get to know God, we can stand in confidence knowing that He’s God. Then, we can see the things He’s about to do for us. “Now, therefore stand and see this great thing, which the Lord will do before your eyes.” (1 Samuel 12:16) KJV
Sometimes in life, we will receive bad news that’s so devastating it leaves us in shock or unbelief; whether it’s a child dropping out of school, using drugs or we find out we’re being sued. In moments such as these, we have to trust God, and be still and know that He’s God. He can turn everything around for our good. “They do not fear bad news; they confidently trust the Lord to care for them.” (Psalm 112:7) NIV
In the midst of our troubles, God assures us that He will help us if we depend solely on Him. When we do this, we can be still and know that He’s God. “God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble.” (Psalm 46:1) NLT
All of us, at some point in life, will have to deal with evil people that do us wrong and get away with it. It might be a boss, neighbor or co-worker, but we have to be still and know that He’s God. He sees it all and has a set time to deal with evildoers. “Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.” (Psalm 37:7) NIV
If you have been diagnosed with an incurable disease, don’t lose hope, be still and know that He’s God. He can heal any sickness or disease if you cry out to Him. “O Lord my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.” (Psalm 30:2) KJV
There is so much chaos going on in the world today; if it’s not one thing, it’s another. Nevertheless, we have to be still and know that He’s God, and He will give us peace in the midst of everything going on. “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” (John 14:27) NIV
So be encouraged today and always remember: God is saying to us, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” (Psalm 46:10) NKJV
