The Hitching Lot Farmers’ Market will open Saturday in downtown Columbus. It will be held from 7-10 a.m. Saturdays, 4-6 p.m. Mondays and 7-10 a.m. Thursdays.
Starkville Community Market is open from 8-11 a.m. Saturdays at Fire Station Park.
Both venues will include music and other activities.
Items available at the markets include:
■ Produce: lettuce, green onions, green garlic, turnips, microgreens, herbs, tomatoes, cucumbers
■ Plants: flowers, tomato plants
■ Cottage goods: boiled peanuts, cashew crunch, salsa, tomato juice, nut butters, granola, sea moss and herbal tea, bread, baked goods, jams and jellies
■ Craft/other: soy wax candles and wax melts, crafts
West Point Farmers Market will open at 4 p.m. June 2.
