Lowndes County Master Gardeners recently announced the inception of a $1,000 scholarship. The scholarship will be awarded to a Mississippi State University student who is pursuing a degree in the field of Extension that has reached the status of junior year or above. Preference will be given to a student from Lowndes County. Students from surrounding counties will be considered should a Lowndes County recipient not be available.
