The Mississippi State Shackouls Honors College will start its year-long program, The Orators, at 4 p.m. Thursday in Griffis Hall, Forum Room-401C.
Richard Eldridge, a lecturer in philosophy at University of Tennessee, will discuss Aeschylus, Homer and Plato: Why Inconsistency about Justice is Interesting.
This year’s program is themed Acts of Tolerance vs. Acts of Punishment: Taking the Journey to Find Justice. The program invites speakers who represent various campus disciplines and topics to engage our university and community in research, course work and public forums.
