We have to ask the Lord daily to work on every part of our bodies that need working on so we can be a new creature in Him. “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new.” (2 Corinthians 5:17) KJV
Oftentimes, we see what everyone else is doing and can’t see anything we’re doing. “When we find ourselves doing this, we have to say Lord work on my eyes so I can see my own fault.” “And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye?” (Matthew 7:3) NHJV
When we get too busy, we can’t hear when God is speaking to us. That’s the time we need to stop and say, “Lord work on my ears so I can hear what You’re saying to me.” “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.” (John 10:27) KJV
Sometimes we can let our mouth get us in more trouble than we can get out of by talking too much. In moments such as these, we have to say, “Lord work on my mouth so I can know when to keep my mouth shut.” “Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles.” (Proverbs 21:23) KJV
If you’re holding un-forgiveness, hatred, jealousy, envy, or bitterness in your heart say, “Lord Work on my heart and take out these things and put in your love. Then, I can love everyone like You love me.” “This is my commandment, that ye love one another, as I have loved you.” (John15:12) KJV
Lately, I have had so much going on in my life until all I can think about is what I’m going through. Lord work on my mind and program it to think on the things I should think on. “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” (Philippians 4:8) KJV
There will be times when our feet will go in places they shouldn’t go. Lord work on my feet and keep them from slipping on the wrong path. “Hold up my goings in thy paths, that my footsteps slip not.” (Psalm 17:5) KJV
So be encouraged today and always remember: When Jesus works on us He will mold and shape us like He want us to be. “And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.” (Jeremiah 18:4) KJV
