These are six degrees every Christian should have:
B.A. –Born Again – Every Christian needs this degree because without it we can’t see Heaven or enter in. “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” (John 3:3) KJV
B.D. – Believe and don’t doubt – When we ask God for something in prayer we have to believe that God will do it and not doubt. This is the only way we will get the answer to our prayers. “But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.” (James 1:6) NIV
S.D. – Stay focused and don’t get distracted -The devil is constantly looking for ways to distract us from serving God. That’s why we have to stay alert and keep our focus on Jesus. By doing this, we won’t get side-tracked by the devil’s distractions. “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.” (1 Peter 5:8) NIV
P.H.D. – Praise Him Daily – God is worthy of our praise, no matter what we face from day to day. We should keep His praise in our mouth, not sometimes, but always. “I will praise the Lord all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live. (Psalm 146:2) NIV
R.N. –Renew Your Mind – As we meditate on God’s Word daily, it will renew our minds and cause us to think like God. When our mind is changed, our life will be transformed and we will not do the things of this world. “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” (Romans 12:2) KJV
D.D. – Don’t get discouraged – Sometimes on this Christian journey we will get discouraged, want to throw in the towel and say we quit. However, we can’t give up; we have to keep doing good things for the Lord because we’re too close to our blessings. “So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessings if we don’t give up.” (Galatians 6:9) NLT
So be encouraged and always remember: Now that we have received these six degrees, we have to continue to study the Word of God so we will know the Word and not be ashamed. “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” (2 Timothy 2:15) KJV
