Starkville Area Arts Council announces the return of its Art in Public Places annual Winter Showcase. This hybrid exhibit is on display for in-person viewing in the lobby of the Greater Starkville Development Partnership in downtown Starkville during business hours (8 a.m.-5 p.m. weekdays), subject to mask requirements and social distancing guidelines. The online gallery will be viewable at starkvillearts.net until further notice. There will be no opening reception.
This exhibit features nearly 30 works by more than a dozen artists in and outside of Mississippi (including California one from the Netherlands). Works cover varying themes and media, including acrylic, oil, watercolor, ceramics, mixed medium, photography, and more.
As part of SAAC’s AiPP series, works may be listed for sale. SAAC collects and pays sales taxes on behalf of the artist for any work sold, and the artist keeps 80 percent of the proceeds. This exhibit will be on display until February 1, 2021, in the lobby of The Partnership and available online until further notice.
