The Toronto-based a cappella group Eh440 will perform at Mississippi University for Women Monday, Feb. 22 at 7 p.m. in Rent Auditorium in Whitfield Hall.
Eh440 started making music together in 2012 and has performed for audiences across the USA, Canada and Europe. According to the Eh440’s website, the group is described as “a mix of five people from five very different backgrounds and musical genres.” Joe Oliva has been a low bass singer his entire life. Luke Stapleton is an urban beatboxer. Janet Turner identifies as a country/pop singer. Stacey Kay is more soul/pop. Jake Stern likes contemporary vocal/pop music.
On the heels of its award-winning 2014 debut release “Turn Me Up,” the group is starting to record their next full-length project to be dropped this year.
The performance is free and open to the community.
