Thin is in! Well, at least when it comes to the haircut for spring.
The best news is that it requires zero time at the gym, ice cream is welcome, and it will turn back the clock leaving people guessing your age. Faith Hill wowed us with her sleek, modern take on spring’s new cut with Tim McGraw on her arm at the Oscars last weekend, and we all felt the glamour.
When it comes to cropping the hair from long to short, nothing can be more liberating — the freedom that comes from putting away that arsenal of weapons from thickening mousses to round brushes, not to mention the time you will shave off your styling ritual each morning like Rebecca Pierce did with her brand new coif.
Rebecca runs two businesses. She and her husband are renovating a country home on the weekends, so we simplified her life a bit while winding back the clock. Guess her age: I dare you! I used a razor to peel away the layers of length, chiseling out a dramatic fringe kept longer in front to punctuate her beautiful bone structure. The style has a bit of edge with freehanded golden color strategically painted just around the face to brighten and illuminate the eyes.
After five minutes of blow drying with only the help of a wide tooth comb and my fingers, a bit of shine spray, say-something earrings, and a bold lipstick, Rebecca shows off a no-fuss brand new look.
To each her own and beauty comes in all styles, but Rebecca proves when it comes to hair, sometimes bigger is not always better, girls.
