Formerly operated by the Mississippi State University Campus Activities Board (CAB), the 38th Annual Holiday Bazaar has recently been placed in the hands of the Greater Starkville Development Partnership (GSDP) and will take place at the Starkville Sportsplex for the first time.
Set for Wednesday through Friday, Dec. 1-3, this event will be very similar to previous Holiday Bazaars, except for its new location.
“We were honored that the MSU Campus Activities Board has asked us to spearhead this successful and popular event this year, and we hope to follow the same successful practices of CAB, but with a few new twists,” said GSDP Vice President for Tourism Development and Starkville Main Street Manager Jennifer Gregory.
More than 75 vendors have already applied from throughout the Southeast, and GSDP officials are encouraging other local craft vendors to submit their applications to the GSDP office by Nov. 15. Application fees are $100 per booth.
In addition to a new location with increased parking and space, the Holiday Bazaar will also offer a café in which local restaurants will sell food during the lunch and dinner hours, an added convenience for shoppers and vendors.
The bazaar will be open for shoppers from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Dec. 1-2 and from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Dec. 3.
For an application or more information, contact the GSDP at 662-323-3322, or e-mail Gregory at jgregory@starkville.org.
