The Columbus Arts Council”s Rosenzweig Arts Center, 501 Main St., announces an upcoming gallery show and sale, “Mid-Century Expressions: Art inspired by the 1940s, ”50s and ”60s.” Area artists are invited to participate. Exhibition dates are Nov. 1-Dec. 31.
The show is open to artists of all media, taking the place of the annual Starving Artists Show. To be accepted for this exhibit, all artwork must be for sale and ready to hang or display.
Many great art movements began during the 1950s and 1960s, such as abstract expressionism, pop art, op art, and minimalism. Researching these on the Internet would be a good place to find inspiration. This show will be held in conjunction with the Decorative Arts and Preservation Forum Antiques Show at the Trotter Convention Center
For more information on submitting artwork for the exhibition, contact the Columbus Arts Council 662-328-2787
