Lowndes County sheriff’s deputies have arrested three suspects in connection with the murder of 22-year-old Quinshawn Lucious.
Da’Quavious Robertson, 17, and Dorian Williams, 16, are accused of murder and Jamarquis Antjuan Summerville, 33, is being charged with accessory after the fact in the fatal shooting July 9 on Swedenburg Circle. A second victim remains at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo recovering from a gunshot wound, according to a press release the sheriff’s department issued Friday.
Deputies arrested Summerville on unrelated traffic charges on Saturday, later connecting him with being an accessory after the fact to the murder, Sheriff Eddie Hawkins told The Dispatch. At the time of the stop, Summerville was driving a vehicle that matched the description of the one leaving the shooting scene.
Hawkins said officers later identified Robertson and apprehended him on Wednesday. Deputies on Friday arrested Williams, who investigators believe was in the car with Robertson at the time of the shooting.
Lowndes deputies and Columbus police officers used forensic data, witness interviews and footage from Ring Doorbell camera systems during the investigation, the press release said. Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact Golden Triangle Crime Stoppers at 800-530-7151, Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office at 662-328-6788 or use the P3 Tips app.
