STARKVILLE — Mississippi State football redshirt freshman defensive lineman Anfernee Mullins tweeted Friday he plans to transfer.
“After much thought and consideration, I have made my mind up to transfer from Mississippi State University and pursue my education and football career elsewhere,” Mullins tweeted. “I want to thank coach (Dan) Mullen for an opportunity to be a part of the Bulldog family. I just feel like it’s best for me to pursue my education and football career elsewhere. Thanks for everything.”
Mullins becomes the third Bulldog to announce he will transfer. Junior quarterback Damian Williams and redshirt freshman quarterback Nick Tiano have announced they are going to pursue other opportunities outside of MSU.
Mullins appeared in three games (South Alabama, BYU, and Texas A&M) but didn’t record any stats after redshirting a season ago.
