STARKVILLE — With eight days remaining for student-athletes until National Signing Day, the Mississippi State football team continues to fine tune its latest recruiting class.
On Monday, that meant adding the team’s 28th commitment. T.D. Moton, a defensive tackle from Woodlawn High in Shreveport, Louisiana, indicated his intention to sign with the Bulldogs. He used his Twitter to send out the message.
Under his Twitter handle of @_Moton, he announced “Got off the phone with Coach Dan Mullen. I will be signing with Mississippi State on Feb. 4.”
The 6-foot-2, 310-pound Moton is ranked a four-star prospect by ESPN.com and 247sports.com. He’s listed as a three-star recruit by Scout.com and Rivals.com.
His commitment to MSU comes four days after he decommitted from Alabama, the team he had been committed to since last August. He committed to MSU during September of his junior season in high school, only to re-open his recruitment, choose Alabama, then open it again to announce he would be attending MSU.
Moton was in Starkville on the weekend of Jan. 16 for his official visit to the school.
