STARKVILLE — A new pricing structure has been set for the expanded and renovated Davis Wade Stadium for the 2014 Mississippi State football season, the Bulldog Club announced Friday.
The structure includes updated seating obligations throughout Davis Wade Stadium and new season ticket prices. New season ticket prices will be $310 for priority reserved and $210 for Top Dog reserved. The new price still makes MSU the most affordable ticket option among Southeastern Conference Western Division schools.
“We’re excited to release this new pricing structure for the 2014 football season,” said Mike Richey, senior associate athletic director for Bulldog Club and ticket operations. “This not only helps Bulldog Club members make budgeting plans for next season but our new seating chart also gives our donors and fans a better feel for how the stadium will look once construction has been completed for the Aug. 30 home opener against Southern Miss.”
The north end zone expansion, which will increase stadium capacity from 55,082 to 61,337, is aimed at offering more Bulldog fans the opportunity to experience game day in Starkville, in addition to adding new premium seating options. The expansion is expected to make Davis Wade Stadium the largest on campus football stadium in the state of Mississippi.
The stadium also is being re-seated for the first time in the venue’s history this spring. Bulldog Club donors will be given the opportunity to select their seats in strict accordance with Bulldog Club priority rank order, and will be provided a date and time to pick their seats via phone or online.
In addition to the new pricing structure, The Bulldog Club has engaged Ballena Technologies, Inc. to improve the online seat selection experience by creating a 3D model of Davis Wade Stadium that fans can visit to select their seats during their slotted selection time or receive real time updates during the re-seating process.
“Ballena is known throughout the athletics industry as a leader in their respective field and we feel that our supporters will greatly appreciate the services that their 3D models provide,” Richey said.
Current Bulldog Club donors can select their 2013 seats if they are available at the time of their selection; however, no one can automatically renew their 2013 seats for this season. Major gift donors to the Today.Tomorrow.Forever athletic facilities initiative will be given the opportunity to select their seats prior to non-major gift donors.
Bulldog Club members will be notified of their selection time in mid-March. The most efficient method of seat selection is to use the online selection tool which provides panoramic views from seats in the stadium for review during seat selection. As always, Bulldog Club and the MSU Ticket Office staff will be available for assistance by phone or in person throughout the seat selection process.
A new FAQ list has been released on msubulldogclub.com to answer any additional questions regarding re-seating.
Individuals looking to secure premium opportunities in the north end zone expansion at this time still have two options available. The Scoreboard Club, located above the State Level and below the new north video board, will have chair back seating for over 1,100 fans and will provide a climate controlled lounge outfitted with food, beverage, locker service, high definition televisions and private restrooms.
The Gridiron will be located at field level of the newly expanded end zone. This area will give fans access to an indoor climate controlled lounge, food, beverage, locker service, high-definition televisions, and private restrooms. Gridiron passes can only be purchased by season ticket holders.
