TUPELO – Columbus High School opened region play on a strong note with a 14-0 victory over Tupelo in prep football action Friday night.
The Falcons (4-1 overall, 1-0 Region 1-6A) racked up 344 yards of total offense, including a 200-yard passing night by quarterback Trace Lee and a 100-yard rushing night by Kendrick Conner.
Columbus scored in the first quarter on an 18-yard pass play from Lee to Dalon Moore. In the fourth quarter, Keith Brooks clinched the game by scoring on a 2-yard run.
