Magnolia Motor Speedway is preparing for The Columbus Convention and Visitor’s Bureau Clash at the Mag on Thursday through Saturday. The event will feature Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series competitors attempting to tame the “Black Ice” in pursuit of a $20,000-to-win top prize and a purse of more than $70,000.
Action begins at 7 p.m. Thursday with an open practice session. Grandstand admission is free. Pit admission is $20.
On Friday, the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will hold time trials and heat race action. In addition, Street Stocks will battle in a $400-to-win/$35-to-start event, while the NeSmith Dirt Late Models will battle for $700-to-win/$40-to-start. Action starts at 8 p.m.
On Saturday, the LOLMDS Super Late Models will contest B-main action and a 100-lap main event that will be taped by the SPEED TV cameras for a future broadcast. Street Stocks will battle in a $600-to-win/$40-to-start event, while the NeSmith Dirt Late Models will battle for $1,000-to-win/$50-to-start. Mini Stocks will battle for $400-to-win/$35-to-start. Action starts at 7 p.m.
On Friday and Saturday nights, grandstand admission is $25 for adults, with kids 6-10 years of age just $5, and children 5 and under free. Pit admission is $35, with kids 6-10 years of age $25 and 5 and under free.
Two-day grandstand adult passes are available for $40. Two-day adult pit passes are available for $65. They are $40 for children 6-10. Three-day adult pit passes are available for $80.
